The Negative Reality Project is a furniture piece designed to seemingly perform as a tangible intangible space to provide ease of comfort and accessibility. To do so, a parametric approach was taken to allow for a multiplicity of uses such as seating, leaning, and to use it as a table all at once. This multi-use piece conforms to the shape and posture of the body to enhance functionality and maintain comfort. The parametric design is set with a Birch Plywood frame and wrapped with vertical and horizontal Marine Bungee cords to maintain flexibility and transparency and highlight the curvilinear forms.
