decoding invisibility the inversion city

This speculative pathway highlights the reality of immigration to achieve the “American Dream". The pathway ends with a concrete “Unseen Chapel”; a diverted border crossing in efforts to blur the lines between structural and geographical borders. In terms of the new yield, the unseen people are seen as the main precedent to tackle dense political and religious codes to uncover the inner workings used to invisibilize people and places.

Decoding invisibility is all about the immigrant. Here, the city of Tijuana, laying at the border of the United States, is connected to the piggyback site in Los Angeles by a pathway. This pathway represents the pilgrimage immigrants would take to move towards what is considered a utopia in their eyes until they reach the unseen chapel which would ultimately disprove their assumptions.
